Training Location
I offer private one-on-one training in people’s homes, private and group training at my training base in Wendywood, Sandton, or at a local dog park. Training at dog parks can be one-on-one or in a group setting for socialization with suitable and well-balanced dogs. My training base will soon incorporate daycare, which allows for socialization and group training. Dogs can also be trained in a private area where required. Training and daycare can also be combined.
My training base features a large yard, obstacle course, run through tunnel, ball and water pits, as well as an indoor training area, allowing for training in all weather conditions.
Training Details
I can provide a free initial assessment prior to beginning training to understand expectations and prepare a plan to maximize results.
Regular training is preferred, with multiple sessions per week providing the best outcome. Specific training for issues such as resource guarding, biting, anti-social behavior and place training can be undertaken.
Enrichment is vital for a dog’s well-being, and this is a feature of my training. I can provide toys and healthy treats which assist with training.
I believe in training through positive reinforcement and confidence building, which includes working with the dog’s owner, as a team. I aim to make training enjoyable and rewarding for everyone involved. Dogs are praised for good behavior and training achievements with play, pats and showing them love, along with healthy treats and toys.
My goal is to achieve the best possible outcome for my clients and their dogs in the safest environment.
Rates
My rates are tailored to each dog and client, and depend on the type of training and the number of sessions involved. I offer flexible weekly or monthly packages. The rate will be discussed and agreed upon at my initial assessment prior to commencing training.
